Day trois

Got a reasonable amount of sleep. Day was somewhat less hectic compared to the earlier days, but quite nice.

Highlights:

-> Had breakfast at International House of Pancakes, where I ordered a turkey sandwich.
Me: "OK, since most soft drinks so far taste like artificial crap, I'll get an orange juice."
LS: "You know orange juice isn't made of raw oranges here, right?"
Me: "what"
LS: "Yeah, the oranges are cooked before they're made into juice."
Me: "WHAT"
Juice is actually passable, though.

-> Went around doing some shopping. Got some decent shoes (or at least cheap shoes) for walking and Little Sister's gift, which I will just have to carry around for two weeks.

-> Went to typical American mall later. It's much like a Brazilian mall, except there's some specialized shops in the food court for Burmese food or Everything Yoghurt or such, and some weird carts with minishops on the corridors. Ate a Bananaberry ice-with-juice-thingy. Not bad.

-> Came back to LS' house, played City of Heroes for a couple of hours. First I made a really cool blaster with a white suit and long hair, but LS thought some people might be offended by the name 'Jumpin' Jesus'. Then I made a 'modern' superhero with a big floppy hat, black suit with skull, Village People mustache and a weapon for his superpower. This essentially turned the game into the lamest FPS that exists. After killing about 100 thugs (all twins) and 100 robots (all twins too) we got out for some fresh air.

-> Went to see a channel thing they built beside the lake. They used to drag boats and barges through this channel, pulled by donkeys. I guess the donkeys swim or something. There were parks and trees and lakes and ducks nearby, and we got a good whiff of fresh air and/or asbestos.

-> Finally some good pizza. REPORT: Ice tea is tolerable.

-> Came back to house, saw UHF movie while uploading photos. Best. Movie. Ever. should try to get a copy or DivX or something back home.

-> Birch beer thankfully doesn't taste as much like an air freshener as root beer does.

Dia mais calmo hoje. Fomos numa vila de lojas, e um tipo de cidadezinha com lojas em vez de casas. Igual a disneylandia. Comprei os perfumes, fomos em um parque proximo, vimos um filme.
Estou com problemas para passar email, vou continuar tentando.
